Getting Here

Directions

Lake Esplanade runs along the water on the western side of the bay. We are the terraced building set into the escarpment, four minutes' walk from the town centre.

By air

Queenstown Airport (ZQN)

8 km east, 12 to 20 minutes by road. Private transfers NZ$75 each way for up to four guests, booked through reception; taxis and rideshare run from the terminal without booking.

Transfers are included in some packages — check the inclusions.

By road

From Cromwell & Wanaka

SH6 through the Kawarau Gorge, then Frankton Road into town — about an hour from Cromwell, 70 minutes from Wanaka via the Crown Range in good conditions.

Winter: carry chains between June and September, and check the Crown Range before you leave.

On foot

Around town

Steamer Wharf 6 minutes, the Skyline gondola 9, Queenstown Gardens 12. The lakefront path passes our door and runs the length of the bay.

Valet parking NZ$35 per night; two EV chargers on the lower terrace.

Concierge

What the desk can arrange

Our concierge team books the things guests come to Queenstown for, at the operator's own rate — we take no commission on any of it, which is why the advice is honest about which trip is worth doing on which day.

  • Milford Sound by coach and cruise, or by scenic flight
  • TSS Earnslaw cruises and Walter Peak dining
  • Gibbston Valley cellar-door tours
  • Jet boating, rafting, bungee and skydiving
  • Ski passes, hire and mountain transfers in season
